Mr. Rohan is a multi-instrumentalist. He plays the guitar and specializes in playing the pedal steel guitar. He also plays the mandolin, and the harmonica and lap steel guitar. He also teaches tablature notation. Initially, Mr. Silva was self-taught and picked up music rather easily owing to his musically talented family background. His born talent was fine-tuned by his private music tutor since he was in school.

After his secondary education he pursued his musical career professionally. He has worked with renowned artists in the country during his career and is a recording artist himself. Mr. Silva’s teaching career is more than 20 years and he has been at Amarillo for 7 years now. Presently he dedicates most of his time to teaching.
